August 18, 2010 Nickelodeon Your Stay Promotion
The Minneapolis Marriott City Center is proud to announce its participation in a new Nickelodeon promotion. Nickelodeon Your Stay officially began here at the City Center in July. During the promotion, kids will receive a free bracelet, with a url to an exclusive SpongeBob Square Pants-branded game on Nick.com. They will also receive an activity book with mazes and puzzles, as well as a Nickelodeon place mat when dining in the Northern Shores Grille!
Parents have the option of upgrading their Nickelodeon experience for an extra $10. This upgrade includes a SpongeBob activity bag, a splash ball, Nickelodeon sunglasses, and a build-your-own SpongeBob character! For parents who may be traveling alone, for business, this package makes a wonderful gift to bring home for their children.
Another option, for $20, includes a turn down service with a SpongeBob pillowcase and storybook, at bedtime. Both of these packages can be purchased right at the front desk upon your arrival!
The Minneapolis City Center wants to make your stay a memorable one. After extensive research, Marriott found that when parents are traveling with their families, it’s the simple touches that make travel easier and more enjoyable. It was discovered that parents were most at ease if there was less stress with their children at arrival time, down time, meal time, and bed time. The Marriott City Center is proud to make your stay in Minneapolis even more pleasant.
If you would like to book your Nickelodeon Your Stay package ahead of time, you can go to www.NickelodeonYourStay.com or call 877-NICK-STAY.

June 15, 2010 What You Need to Know About Parking
If you are driving into The Cities, it might be convenient for you to know the best places to park. We offer both self and valet parking for all of our guests.
To valet, you simply need to pull up to the front door and leave your keys. A charge of $28/night will be added to your bill upon check out.
For those of you who would like to self park, we contract an exclusive rate for our guests next door at the City Center ramp. That rate is $19/night Sunday- Thursday and $8/night Friday and Saturday. These rates will save you $5-$10 over night each night and also allow you to come and go from the ramp as much as you like, at no extra cost! Just ask for a parking key at the front desk upon arrival.
When parking at the ramp, it is important to remember that we contract with the ramp (we do not own it) so there is no elevator to take you directly from the ramp into the hotel! However, it is only a two or three minute walk to the hotel from the ramp. I’ve posted directions, written by our own super concierge Stephanie, to help you navigate.
Directions from the Parking Ramp to the Marriott City Center
Exit the parking elevators on the first floor. (Street Level)
Turn right out of the elevators.
Just past the first escalator, turn right following signs to the Marriott.
At the Wells Fargo ATMs, turn right into the Marriott.
Take the elevators to the fifth floor to reach our lobby.
